Some of the best places to fish from shore are Sanibel’s lighthouse pier on the east end of Sanibel, Blind Pass, which is the pass between Sanibel and Captiva, and in the Ding Darling Nature Preserve. Don’t forget you’ll need a fishing license, which you can easily purchase online at http://myfwc.com/license/recreational/visitors/
