Sanibel has two grocery stores, Bailey’s and Jerry’s and they should have everything you need for your stay. They are smaller than your typical large neighborhood grocery but larger than a convenience store. Captiva has a smaller grocery store, The Island Store, located on Andy Rosse Lane that has the essentials. Publix is a regular, large supermarket and is located off-island across from the outlet mall near the Causeway at 20321 Summerlin Road. It will take you about ten minutes to get to Publix from the east end of Sanibel, twenty to twenty-five minutes from mid-Sanibel and thirty-five to forty minutes from Captiva.
